Home modifications make all the difference in the world by assisting with Maintaining Your Independence, Preventing Injuries to Yourself & Your Family and Caregivers, and Aging in Place. Home modifications are crucial after being discharged from the hospital or rehab facility. They help to prevent re-injury and readmissions from slips and falls. We try to come to your home the day after you come home, and we will work with you on placing grab bars where you need them. Home modifications may include barrier free showers, fully accessible shower remodels, toileting modifications, roll under vanities, door widenings, low threshold and sweeps, and more. Whatever your obstacle, we will come up with a solution for you. We also provide an array of home installations to include threshold ramps, large aluminum ramps, vertical platform lifts, ceiling lifts, stairlifts, automatic door openers and more.

Shower Modifications are often needed to ensure one’s ability to safely shower. We specialize in Barrier Free Showers. We offer many different options from fully tiled barrier free showers to prefabricated floor pans and shower walls. We can also do a combination shower with a prefabricated shower pan and tiled shower walls. We will work with you to design the shower or bathroom of your dreams, making it fully accessible. To complete your shower accessibility, we offer shower chairs and benches, shower commode chairs and shower systems. See our Products section. We will assist you in choosing the correct equipment for your needs.

Tiled Floor Work

When making a bathroom accessible, we not only modify the shower, but often modify walls and redo flooring.

Accessibility/Mobility Modifications

We often install ramps or grab bars in places where mobility is challenged. For example, if there is a step into a doorway, you may need a railing or grab bar to help yourself through. If walking is challenging and you need to use a walker or scooter, we can install ramps to go over the steps. Grab bars also work great in showers to prevent falling, since the floor can get pretty slippery. These amenities work great for preventing any more issues.

Platform Lifts

When stairs cause mobility issues for those using wheelchairs for example, a platform lift is a great solution to move between multi level areas.

Door Widening

Modifications for door openings include: clear door swing hinges or door widening. Clear swing hinges allow for a more wide and accessible doorway since the door moves out of its original frame. Door widening is great for fixing small doorways by making the entrance wider. For example, if a wheelchair won’t fit through your doorway this modification can be used if the clear swing hinges don’t allow for enough space.

Ceiling lift

Where mobility is very challenged in the home, a ceiling lift helps with that along with the user’s safety. It can help with simple tasks like bringing someone from their bed to a wheelchair to helping someone get from their bed to the bathroom.

Accessible Wall Mounted Sink

If someone needs to be in a caregiver driven chair while in and out the shower, a wall mounted sink can help to be closer to the sink instead of a regular one. These allow to bring a chair under the sink to be able to do things easier like wash your hands etc.

Stair Lifts

In multi-level homes, if someone needs to be in a wheelchair most of the time, a stair lift can help them move throughout the home. They are a tremendous help to the user and whoever is helping take care of the user.
